The term code stands for the representation of data in binary symbols.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"square-h2\" style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">\u25a0 <\/span>How is a 1D code decoded?<\/h2>\n<p>To decode a 1D code, you use a barcode reader or camera to read the width of the printed bars and the non-coloured gaps in between with the laser or LED. This is done by reflections of the light and dark gaps. The scanner transmits the character string to an IT system.
