|Serialisation Solutions for the Implementation of the Russian Crypto Code|
Bickenbach, 18 June 2019: The Crypto Code law passed in January poses new serialisation requirements for pharmacists and contract manufacturers. scanware electronic GmbH offers the serialisation and aggregation solutions of the LYNX-CAPA series to successfully meet all requirements.
The Russian Crypto Code differs from the previously known DataMatrix code by its higher data density. The data density is up to 40 × 40 modules which increases the coding data set many times over. The standard codings are 24 × 24 or 26 × 26 modules. Previously, the DataMatrix contained LOT (batch number), GTIN (global trade item number), serial number and EXP (expiration date). The new Russian Crypto Code additionally contains two application identifiers (AI 91 and AI 92) which are generated by a cryptographic transformation and cause higher data density.
In terms of hardware, the challenge is to print more data on similar encoding surfaces so that they retain a constant quality. Precise print transport is particularly important so that the subsequent systems can process the data further and a good quality assessment is produced.
With the scanware Track & Trace solution systems of the LYNX-CAPA series, these DataMatrix codes can be easily implemented.
