scanware electronic GmbH successfully participated in Pharmapack trade fair in Moscow 


Bickenbach, Germany, 26/04/2019: In the middle of April scanware electronic GmbH again showed its presence in Russia. At Pharmapack in Moscow's EXPOCENTER, the image processing company was represented with its own booth for the first time. The thematic focus was on solutions for implementing the Russian crypto code.

In January 2019, the so-called Crypto Code Act came into force in Russia. Manufacturers of pharmaceutical products now only have one year to implement the regulations for serialisation and aggregation described in this federal law. As the scanware serialisation and aggregation solutions of the LYNX-CAPA series meet all the requirements to safely and reproducibly implement the requirements of the Russian Crypto Code Act, the stream of visitors to the booth was correspondingly high.

"The Russian crypto code contains application identifiers (AI) that are generated by a cryptographic transformation. As a result, the data set to be coded is many times larger," explains Michael Gerber, General Manager Sales at scanware electronic. "These DataMatrix codes with a higher data density of up to 40 x 40 modules can be easily implemented with our innovative solutions. We have already proven this in tests in the presence of potential Russian customers and with customer's own packaging material. According to the customer, we were far ahead of the results of the competition.”

In order to be able to serve the Russian market optimally with serialisation and aggregation solutions, the AIs defined in the Crypto Code Act were included in the software. In addition, scanware systems score points with high resolution. Since the individual modules of the DataMatrix code are considerably smaller, a much higher recognition performance is required for reading. Last but not least, the precise guidance of the folding cartons plays a decisive role in the secure and reproducible realization of the requirements. With the small size of the individual modules of the DataMatrix code, even the smallest deviation in the print image can lead to ejection. Here, scanware systems are clearly ahead of the field, too.
