W-LED Illumination

All illumination systems are genuine in-house developments and also manufactured at scanware. scanware illumination units use white LEDs.
That technology was launched in 2000 and has ever since been sophisticated and improved. Today we offer a wide range of illumination units which provides an appropriate solution for any application.

LED illumination with adjustable brightness

LED illuminations are maintenance-free, free of wear and ensure consistent reproducible brightness conditions over a long period of time.
16 brightness levels can be selected for each illumination unit.
The brightness setting is stored thus becoming an integral element of the format record. When loading a format, the appropriate brightness level will be adjusted automatically. That ensures consistent and absolutely reproducible brightness conditions for a format, what makes that technology outstandingly easy to validate.

scanware W-LED technology is supplied in toplight, backlight and sidelight illumination units.

Toplight

Toplight units are available in various sizes and models to meet the individual installation and application requirements.

Most models are provided with a drawer at the bottom, which may be removed when required. The bottom of the drawer consists of high-grade
special glass with sophisticated optical properties.		  
     
On other models a door is provided on the front of the unit to access the housing.
Based on their heavy weight, large illumination units are equipped with a pneumatic lifting device.
  
     

Sidelight

The sidelight illlumination is built into the two side walls of the drawer unit at the bottom of the toplight unit. The brightness of the sidelight is adjustable independently of the toplight.
This type of illumination is the solution of choice to improve the evaluation results by eliminating or explicitely generating shadows.


 		    
     
Backlight

Backlight units are installed below the web.
White LED backlight units are delivered with three colour filters (red, green, blue), which can be used instead of the white cover plate.
