System and application software
The LYNX vision systems are designed for use in an GMP environment  in the pharmaceutical industry.

The software of these systems is composed of three elements:
  • operating system QNX®
  • LYNX application software
  • graphical user interface (GUI)
Operating system

All LYNX vision systems operate under QNX®, an extremely reliable real-time operating system which freuqently is used in instrumentation for medical diagnostics, in life-supporting systems as well as in the aircraft and aerospace technology.

Reliability and the real-time processing capacities are a requirement for the applications of the LYNX vision systems, because they have to ensure the security of your processes.

The LYNX application software is designed to fully exploit especially these properties and qualities of QNX®.

LYNX application software

The LYNX application software is developed by scanware. The core of the application software is used since more than 10 years in more than 500 vision systems through the world.
The application software is composed of individual modules.

Every LYNX vision system has its own application software which is specific to its application. Modules that are not specific to a particular application always are identical.

Independent of the application, the application software has a uniform menu structure, uniform operating functions, uniform data and user management features, uniform access control features, uniform documentation and reporting features including the audit trail.

Graphical User Interface (GUI)

All LYNX vision systems have a uniform graphical user interface. Its user-friendly design guides the operator by intuitively suggests correct handling. Operation is easy to understand and easy to learn as the features follow procedures that are common in production environments. The operation is menu-driven.

All inputs are made via the graphical user interface of the touch screen.

Complex image processing techniques – made easy for operators and therefore mere child’s play.
